Loft surface self-intersects - two closed polylines

I'm attempting to make a solid from two different closed polylines (bottom to top) but keep getting the Loft surface self-insects error. I was able to make a similar polyline (in-between) and achieve partial solid but can't quite get there. See below and attached:

I switched loftnormals to 5, attempted to create guidelines, and tried exploding, surface patching, and sculpting to no avail. I've scoured the forums and tinkered a few hours. Any help or suggestions would be insanely appreciated. THANKS!

When you go to world UCS and plan view you will see that when you zoom in to the end at the tight curl the polyline crosses over itself creating a self intersection.

When you grip edit the bottom polyline to get rid of the intersection they will loft. Here is lofting all three.
