Linking Text in a Table to a text box

Hi,

I'm trying to link "mtext" to a table I've pulled through from excell, this is simply done when the field type is a number, however it comes up ### when the informtation within the cell is text? Is there a simple way of doing this?

If i understand correctly this seems to be an ongoing issue with text being evaluated as numbers.
