Linetypes with shapes

Hello

I have several linestyles that have shapes in the, I have my support folder pointed to the location of the shx file.

Is there a way to embed that shx file in a drawing file so I do not have to point my support folder to the location of the shx file.

I experimented by removing that particular support folder path and then just doing Load and selecting that shape file. It did load it but now my linestyles do not have the shaped in them. I loaded the linestyles from another file, not from a .lin file. I do have a .lin file and it is in the same folder as the shx file.

Thank you

You can load the .SHX in your startup template .dwt so it auto loads for every drawing.  If your linetype is referring to a specific text style, that style needs to be loaded in the drawing in order for the linetype to display it.

It is loaded in that file but it is still not working. The only way I can get it to work is add the location to the support folders.

@cslatteryAXGRE What does "not working" mean exactly?
Wondering if you forgot to define a text STYLE with the font defined in it first.

BTW, you've never EVER been able to embed fonts in a DWG file using AutoCAD: perhaps a feature in some other program you are more familiar with.

Simple question:

"Is there a way to embed that shx file in a drawing file so I do not have to point my support folder to the location of the shx file[?]"

Simple answer:

No.
