Linetype not plotting as desired

Hi,

I can't get DASHED2 linetype to show when plotting.

I have psltscale, ltscale and msltscale all set to 1. My paperspace is 1:7500. Drawing is in meters.

Eventhough my annotatoin scale is set to 1:7500, the linetype is not showing as dashed.

Can anyone help?

Your DWG file is set to display feet/inches (and your insertion units is meters)

But the units settings in your ISO DWG file are set to meters

Which should it be? That may help fix it all for you.

Note: And your content is 0.5million meters (~310 miles) from 0,0,0 as well. Is that intentional?

Got a few things amiss.
You are using meters but the drawing units are set to architectural. Change UNITS to decimal.
Paperspace is currently 1:0.001 . set it to 1:1 (always plot millimeters when in metric)
Annotation scale should be 1:7.5  (to account for mm to m), so create a new one called 1:7500 (m) or something like that)
Reload the DASHED2 as it is using the imperial definition (acad.lin instead of acadiso.lin)
Hope that helps

Thank you for the quick reply!
this is what i see:

I want meter units all across.
The reason for big distance from origin is that i had an xref file (which i removed before posting the file on the forum). so its just the xref that had that.

ok so i just measured the true length of one piece of dashed line at 1 linsecale and it is about 6 (meters i think....don't know why autocad doesnt show the measurement units just to be doubly sure!). Now, I want the dashed line to be lets say about 0.75 cm (or 0.0075 m) on paper. However my paperspace scale is 7500. That means the dash gets scaled down to 6m/7500 =0.0008m. So if i am using psltscale, ltscale and msltscale all set to 1, then my annotation scale needs to be:

0.0075/0.0008 = about 10
But that still shows a solid line.
Interestingly, switching psltscale to 0, finally does show dashed line in paperspace...This is so confusing

Another thing i noticed was that whilst when you have your drawing in meter units, the scale is typically like 1:1 is actually 1:0.001 because the paper units are in mm as I have understood so far e.g. from this:
Resetting the scales list leads to wrong scale definitions that are corrected after reopening the DW...

THis is how it was when i first started working on this drawing but along the way, it seemed like my paperspace started thinking in terms of meter units also. So then 1:1 was really 1:1. Don;t know if this is normal or what i might have done to cause this. I dont know if this is causing the dashed line issue. Such a simple thing just made to complicated 😞
