I have a series of drawings, modified by others, they contain a linetype called Hazardous, I am trying to load a linetype called smokewalls, and I get a series of error messages, I am not sure what to do, I am kind of a newbie when it comes to linetypes, I am attaching a screenshot of the error message

Hi,

Just a guess ... these linetypes are pointing to a file "BLANK_CIRCLE.SHX", either the file can't be found on your system (inside the AutoCAD support-paths) or the file extension ".SHX" is missing (have not tried now if the .LIN file might not have this .SHX defined, I guess it should ... or the SHX-file has defects.

To know what it really is is only possible if you upload the SHX-file too.

Thank you, another question, should there be a smokewalls .shx? There is not one in the folder, if I need one, then how do I create it?

My guess would be it cannot find the shape defined as "Blank-circle".

I assume this is a block?  Make sure the block is loaded before trying to load the linetype.

Hi,

>> should there be a smokewalls .shx

No, inside the LIN-file you uploaded none of the linetype definitions point to "SMOKEWALLS.SHX"
