Lines added to hatch when publishing, but not when printing.

I have a solid hatch at a transparency set up to show areas out of scope for my project. When I publish the pages to PDF, lines are added into the hatching at regular intervals within the solid hatch. When I use ctrl+P to print the same page to PDF, the lines are not there. How can I get rid of these lines?

Here is the area shown on the paper space layout:

Here is the same space after using ctrl+P to print to PDF:

Here is the space when published to PDF:

When you publish are you selecting the same printer you used when you printed?

Yes, that is selected the same as the printer in print options.

If you use EXPORTPDF how does it behave?

Are you using the same program to view the PDFs?

Any chance that you can share the drawing?
