With _VIEWDETAILSTYLE and VIEWSECTIONSTYLE you can change the properties of the circle that contains the detail, or those of the section lines. But you cannot change the appearance of the drawing itself.

Hi,
Please look at your Layer Properties Manager and observe that several layers get created automatically when you creat "Base View" or the associated detail and section views. Those layers begin with a prefix of "MD" . Simply change the lineweight, color or linetype as desired for those layers.

BTW...
If this is routine work I suggest that you use your preferred template to create a simple solid in model space and generate these views so that you can populate these layers. Then alter the layer settings desired, delete the views and models space objects, and save the template with your desired "MD" layers setup as needed.
