line type for line with elevations

No aplicable

I have a line with different elevations of each end.

when I assign a line type, eg. -----------w----------, the text gets skewed on my plan view.

I want to keep the elevation of the endpoint of the line because they are survey data.

Are there anyway to make the plan view display linetype correct? thx

I'm not sure there is a way to do this. You could work around by putting your example line at the same elevation at both ends and also leave your original line that is slanted. You can then just shut off the line with the crooked text in the viewport. You'd need to put the extra line on a layer that told anyone else that it was just an extra line. Like "extra line for text not part of model"  I've made strange layer names like that before to try to convey what I was doing to someone else that might look at the drawing.
