Layout navigation double down arrows missing

I've not seen a solution for missing layout navigation double arrows.  Most of my status bar real estate is available and have only 3 layouts (shortly named) so there is plenty of room. Here's the weird thing. I see them on one drawing file but not on another. I feel like there is a command or option pick or something that should toggle this on and off. Thoughts?

it depends on your layouts number . Those arrows will automatically appear when there is NOT enough space ( room ) for layouts . would you please show us any image that describe well your issue ?

BTW .. To get more space for displaying multiple layout tabs, you can right-click the Model or a Layout tab and select Dock Above Status Bar. The Model and Layout tab are displayed in a separate line above the status bar.

I am not sure if you are talking about the missing layout tab which is to the bottom left which can be activated by typing in the command "LAYOUTTAB" and setting it to "1" or the model or paper space switcher in the status bar which can be activated by clicking on the three lines on the bottom right and then by selecting "modelspace".

Well nuts. You are correct. I like using it with shift or ctrl to grab multiple layouts for publishing. I almost always have more layouts than space provided even if separated from status bar so I always see the down arrows. Thank you so much for your quick reply!

My layouts sheet navigation arrow has gone missing so I cannot see the end of the layout list.. tried activating dock above but that still does not help to select a single sheet out of long list:

Are you sure you had them?

what is your productname&productversion?

Since Versions2024 you have to click the Burger button ON THE LEFT(!)

in 2023, 4-SquareButton on the right

in 2022 and some versions older, two-arrows on the right

All of your layouts are showing, there is no need for an arrow, so there is no arrow. That's what your screenshot shows.
