Layout from an existing drawing

I often need to import a layout (with legends and tables) from my older DWG drawings of the same type, Is there a way to automate this? I mean using another way than DesignCenter.

You can use a LISP tool like GetLayouts or the standard LAYOUT command and its Template option. E.g.:

^C^C_-layout;_template;"C:/myDWGs/myLayouts.dwg";Layout4-Legends
