To put a selection of objects to another layer I always have to pull down a menu in the Layers section, which is very limiting.  I wonder why you cannot allow f.e. to right click on a specific layer in the Layer Manager and select: Change Object Layer to Selected. would save so much effort and time

Further using the Quick Selection Feature is  unintuitive. If I want to select all objects on a certain layer I have to go through each pull down menu individually, so it takes for example 4 steps instead of one. I do not mind to use this feature if I look for specific objects, it is a great and important feature, but it is not set up for a smooth work flow.

I'll propose to increase the funtionality of the right click menu, but do you know th command LAYMCH?  It ill allow to move all objects selected to a layer where another object resides, it can be easy added to the default right click menu.

I'll transfer your concerns to the design team to check if the quick properties can be more efficient and 'user friendly'.
