Layer Proerties

I have two large computer screens it is great for working on Auto Cad projects. I have my drawing on one screen and my layer properties on the other. I tried resizing the layer properties on my second screen and it partially jumped off of the screen. I cannot find the tag that you use to drag it back on the screen. I have attached and image of what is looks like. My problem is twofold. #1 why is the layer properties so jumpy on my 2nd screen? #2 How do I get it positioned correctly again on my 2nd screen?

Hi,

you can take the border you see from the layerdialog and drag it to the left border of left screen, that should give you back the window-titlebar and so you can start to reposition it or to right-click and change the setting of allow docking might help too.

When you have it again positioned save your workspace with a new name. Next time it happens you can reload this workspace.

Some question are necessary to get a feeling about that. I have seen that only one time on AutoCAD 2018 and 2 UHD displays and that was tricky too to get the layer manager into a correct sizing. But as I said, I have seen that only once.

• Which version of AutoCAD do you have (and service pack)
• Which graphic card and driver
• Which operating system
• Which resolution are your monitors working with
• Is that issue reproducable or did it happen just once (if it is reproducable: can you show the steps you do with a screencast (>>>click<<<)?)
