Just upgraded to 2019

I have just up graded from 2017 to 2019.  Now I'm having issue with F8 for the ortho.  When I'm trying to move something left to right or up and down I usually only move, copy, stuff on the 90 degree so I keep my keep my F8 ortho on well when I do that now. I can only move left to right and right to left but I can't move up and down.  When we installed 2019 it asked if I wanted to transfer over my settings from 2017 to 2019 an I said yes.  This wasn't happening in 2017 when I installed 2019.  I also tried in using the grips which is another thing I use a lot of.

Any help would be great,  it has got me confused as why I can't move things up and down or rotate things.

Ortho works the same as it did before. It sounds like you may be in a view other than plan or your UCS has gotten messed up.

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

Make UCS WORLD and that will do the trick. Check the VIEWCUBE it is not in TOP view, currently you are in BACK view. VIEWCUBE.png

Is this only happening in a particular drawing, or in any drawing, even a new empty one?

I actually just did that with the UCS to World.   And it worked.
