Joining lines and circle into one object

Hey guys. I have an issue, when i move the object i have to click on both the circle and the line and mark them all in order to move the whole object. Instead i want to join all the lines and circle into one object so when i click on the object i can move it without clicking on all the lines and circles.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

>> join all the lines and circle into one object

Create a block from that entities (>>>details<<<).

Another option (not the best I guess in that case) could be to use constraints (>>>details<<<).

Hi,

>> Isnt there any easier way?

...easier than one single command? Sorry, no (there are no "half" commands in AutoCAD 😉 )

Generally to blocks: when you need that part more than one time in the drawing (or on other drawings) you can just INSERT them to use them again and again, it needs less drawing size, you can count them to create BOM's, you can modify all the insertions by just one edit (within the block-definition) and at least: block's are the major parts for well structured drawings! You lose a lot of time if you have one type of geometry like yours more than one time in the drawing and it is not a block.

PS: GROUP might be also one command, but group's are not used that often so the handling with them is more complex as one object can belong to many groups 😉

[EDIT:  Oops -- hadn't noticed Alfred mentioning this, but anyway....]  Another option is to connect them into a GROUP.  Read about it in Help.  One benefit over putting them into a Block is that you can still alter the things in a Group individually, and have them remain part of the Group.
