ISO Snap/Rectangular Snap toggle button

Just updated to 2017 from 2016.  In 2016 I could click the little ISODRAFT button to switch between rectangular snap and iso snap. Then use the pull down arrow to select by plane.  Now in 2017, when I click the ISODRAFT button nothing happens.  I have to right click on snap and change it in settings.  Did this very convenient functionality get eliminated for some reason?  Is there and easier way of doing this?

Hi @Anonymous,

I see that you are visiting as a new member. Welcome to the Autodesk Community!

When I click on the button it toggles Iso on and off. The drop down arrow switches between Top, left and right. Is yours not doing this too?

What are you are showing is what I am trying to do.  When I click it nothing happens at all.  If I manually switch to ISO mode I can use the pull down to change planes, but I can't use the button to toggle between rectangular and iso.  This worked in 2016, now does not in 2017.

Hi @Anonymous,

Please try a Reset Settings to Default to see if that fixes the issue.

Hmmm, well I'm running an OEM version which works with a third party program (MicroVellum Toolbox).  When I go to Start->All Programs I don't have an Autodesk folder, I have a MicroVellum folder and under that resetting is not an option.  I suppose this is likely something that the third party software is overwriting.  Just though maybe there was a simple fix that other people had come across.

Hi @Anonymous,

Is there a way to turn off the MicroVellum stuff to see if that fixes the issue? It might tell us where to start looking.

Also, if you search for Reset Settings in your Windows Search Program and Files does it not find it?
