Is there a way to use a viewport specific LTScale

I've got several different viewports of various scales (overall exhibit / enlargements of certain areas) on this sheet set I'm working on for a project. Is there a way to establish a different LT scale for the different viewports so that all the linework is consistent between them? There has to be right?

Could this be as simple as setting PSLTScale = 1?

Hi @Anonymous,

Did @dmfrazier's resolve your issue with the great suggestion? It is exactly where I was going to start on this issue for you. If so, please reward the post that worked with a Kudos and please also mark a post or posts as Accepted Solution(s) that resolved the issue or answered your question.

If this did not fix the issue, please attach a sample file to a post and I will take a look to see if something else will work four condition.

I did suggest this feature in the ideas area a while back.

I mean.... I know that's the intention of PSLTSCALE=1 but everytime it's set that way all of my dashed lines are displayed as continous like the LTSCALE in model space is 1, regardless of the scale the viewport is at. Once the PSLTSCALE is 1 how do I change the scale of the lines in the viewport?

You should set PSLTSCALE to 1, LTSCALE to 1 and MSLTSCALE to 1. Then the linetypes will look the same in modelspace and in each of the paperspace viewports.  You may need to do a REGENALL after setting them.

Hi @Anonymous,

Did you try the settings suggest by @user181?  If that doesn't seem to be working, can you attach a sample file that has the various viewports set up? I am happy to take a look and make suggestions.

I am having this same issue with my drawing (i.e. I cannot get the linetypes showing properly in various viewport scales).

LTSCALE, PSLTSCALE, MSLTSCALE are all set to 1. So is CELTSCALE.

Both MS and PS are the same units (decimal). I am using 2017 version of AutoCAD.

I was thinking that my problem was the fact that the drawing was an x-ref but I tried a test by drawing 3 simple 'hidden' lines in model space on that drawing sheet (Hidden, Hidden2X and Hidden X2) and created 3 viewports showing these lines at different scales (1:100, 1:50 and 1:25). No luck. All appeared as continuous lines, with a slight indication of a 'hidden' line in one of the viewports. I ensured that all the linetype scales for all these test lines were set to 1.

I read in an earlier blog (2010) that setting the CANNOSCALE in each viewport to that viewport scale was the answer. That did nothing.

Please note that I 'regened' both in paper and model space on numerous occasions (after setting various variables) to no avail.

I am totally stumped. Would appreciate any and all suggestions you may have. Needless to say this is very frustrating.

Thanks
