I would like to be able to save or store a set of isolated objects. Layer states are no good for this exercise.

Thanks,
Efraim

I have a large model & wish to only display specific objects using object isolation. The routine is great but when I show all objects I have to reselect which is really time consuming.
I would like to be able have access to specific selection sets in order to isolate on demand.

One possibility might be to include all the objects in a GROUP

For normal use, just turn Groups OFF, and work normally, but when/if you need to isolate all those objects, turn Groups ON, and select any of the objects in the group to select the entire group, then use ISOLATEOBJECTS as you normally would.  Once the "group" is Isolated, just turn Groups OFF again.

When using the Ribbon, Groups are very easy to work with, it takes a single click to create a group of all the selected objects, and it only takes one click to turn groups On/Off

I did a quick test, and it appears you can.

Objects can be members of more than one group. Selecting an object that belongs to multiple groups selects all groups to which that object belongs.
