Is there a way around objects being de-selected after preforming a command?

I'm getting really tired of having to group non-block objects to preform a command on as a way to avoid having to Undo then re-select all the objects/lines and try the command again If I've made some user error.

Like if i moved selected objects too short of their mark, normally I'd have to re-select all of objects and try again. re-selecting objects isn't part of undo steps and objects staying selected after a command was preformed on isn't a thing...

Is there a way to set CAD to keep the objects I just previously preformed a command on selected?

Plus,
is there a way to turn on object selection to be part of the undo steps?
Undo Steps include where I zoom but not even what I have previously selected...

It is if the operation is by grip-editing, rather than by entering a command name.  You can Move/Rotate/Scale/Mirror/Stretch things that way, and they remain selected to do whatever else you want with them.  EDIT:  If under any of those modes you select the Copy option, what remains selected is the original(s), not the copy.

And to clarify @Patchy's message:  At the "Select objects:" prompt in any editing command, though it doesn't display options for you in the prompt, you can type in P [in the English version] to get the Previous selection, etc.  You can find all the selection options in Help for the SELECT command.

Undo is for commands, pre-selection (no command running) isn't a command..

-

Object selection method P as already said above - start your next command an input P for object selection,

or setup your own button macros to use the previous selected objects.

I don't seem to have those commands under that Alias. Defaults to Pan, Rotate, Arc.
Nor does Previous or Remove show up as commands in Aliasedit

They are not commands, but selection options.  You must be in an editing command, at the Select objects: prompt, for those to do what's wanted.
