Hello All,

Any help on this matter would be much appreciated as it is restricting me from a very important drawing!

I haven't found any information yet about the specific error message but hopefully someone may have a solution.

Many thanks

Reece

Hi @Anonymous,

I see that you are visiting as a new member. Welcome to the Autodesk Community!

I am sorry you are seeing this error. I believe it points to some drawing corruption. Is this happening in only one or two files or is it happening all of your files?

Try running an Audit on one of the files. If you can't even open it, then first start AutoCAD and run RECOVER on the file.  You are welcome to attach a sample file for me to examine.

Hi and thanks for replying,

This has now happened to two seperate DXF files I have tried to open. I cannot access the Drawings at all as I am greeted by the same error message.

I have attached the DXF file which isnt working. Any help is much appreciated as this is for an ongoing project.

Thank you very much for you help and hope to hear from you soon!

Kind Regards

Hi Reece,

I have tried several different methods to open this file but to no avail.  I see that it was created in LSS. Do you know who created the file? Can they try exporting to a different format or to a different DXF version?

I am sorry that I was unable to do anything with this file.

That dxf file appears to have multiple dxf files inserted in the middle of it. The first inserted dxf file data starts on line 24227 right in the middle of the data for a SEQEND entity. The second one starts on line 40695 in the middle of another SEQEND entity. I stopped looking at that point.

Thanks for taking a look, does this mean that there will be no possibility of opening the DXF?

I need to find a solution that allows me to open these drawings as I will have the same problem for future projects. I am awaiting feedback from the technical team at LSS but they are not sure at this point.

Hi @Anonymous,

As @artc2 pointed out, it appears that the export put all the DXF files into a single DXF.  You can try to break this single DXF file into all the separate DXF files but I tried a couple sections and didn't get very far. I would ask for new export files and request that they not be combined into a single file.
