Hi,

any expert can share their view? Going to build a new system.

For autocad, 3D studio Max and sketchup vray.

Will be doing 2D and 3D rendering.

I haven't investigated the particular components, but some general considerations:

- AutoCAD is mostly a single-threaded program, so what you need is a processor with maximum performance on single core, most of the other cores will be idle.

- The difference between gaming vs. CAD display cards is mostly what they have been optimized for: in gaming cards accuracy is secondary, everything is optimized for display speed in moving views. In CAD use accuracy is the primary objective, speed of moving views or fancy surfacing are not very important. Autodesk recommendation is "Direct3D®-capable workstation class graphics card."
