Installers? What's what exactly?

When I look under our downloads for "Architecture Engineering & Construction Collection," I see an entry just called "AutoCAD" alongside our other products like Architecture, Electrical, and Mechanical.

What is this seemingly solo installer?  Under 2020, do I need to build a separate installer for this first before installing the other modules (like Architecture, Electrical, and Mechanical) that we may need?

Is there possibly a guide to give you the outline of what each module does?

Thank you!

If you go to the Autodesk website it explains what each of the toolsets are. What you see in your account is the installer for each of those, as separate products. Autodesk used to do one installed for each "Suite" back in the day but it got too big to download (60 odd gb from memory) so now with a Collection, you subscribe to the collection of software then install what you want.

You don't need to install AutoCAD first, you can just installed AutoCAD Mechanical if you want, if that's what you're only going to use. Or Revit. Or Navisworks etc.

So what is this base "AutoCAD" installer versus "AutoCAD - Architecture" ?

That gives you the base functionality, and then the others add features?

the base autocad installer is just manilla autocad nothing more

the other autocad based products are separate downloads/installs
