Hi and Welcome to AutoCAD Forum,

To insert a block from one CAD DWG into another, the easiest methods are:

  • using the Blocks Palette (Insert DWG as Block) for drag-and-drop.
  • or by copying the block in the source file (Ctrl+C) and using Ctrl+Shift+V (Paste as Block) in the destination file, which brings in the definition and instances, with options to control placement and scale.
  • You can also use the INSERT command and browse to the source file or copy/paste the entire DWG and explode it, but the palette and paste-as-block are more efficient for bringing in just the block.

1) Copy/Paste an option?

2) Open the "other part" in BEDIT command then add?

3) WBLOCK command the custom block out to a folder of your own making for your own custom content, then INSERT command (or ADCENTER palette) it into another DWG file?

As well as the excellent tips offered by others replying to your post.

You can check this:
Quick copy and paste

  • Copy the block in one drawing an paste it in to the new drawing

For multiple reuses

In some cases, the block would be imported into AutoCAD and inserted in the tool's palette for multiple reuse across multiple drawing as @BhaskarMurari mentioned.

To Create a Block Library

  1. Define as many blocks as you want to include.
  2. Save the drawing using a name appropriate for a library drawing.

To Place the block in a tool palette:

  1. Open the Tools Palette.
  2. Create a new palette and name it.
  3. Copy a block and paste it into the palette.
Note:
The blocks can be inserted into a drawing using the Block palette (BLOCKSPALETTE) or DesignCenter (ADCENTER).
