Drag and drop it in the drawing is one way.

I would recommend NOT using JPG's in an AutoCAD title block.  Keep AutoCAD objects within AutoCAD title blocks.

If the user were to rotate, or scale the block then the JPG will not display correctly.  Also, some plotters have issues in printing OLE objects.

Image is different than OLE, it can rotate.

We have had issues in the past, and currently, with images rotating.

Plus, some prints were being created without the logo being displayed.

To eleviate these issues, we replaced the 'image' logo with AutoCAD objects.

This also elimitated an issue we were having with converting the DWG to other formats.

Also, I just rotated one of our old title blocks.  The image 'boundary' rotates, but the actual image does not.

Strange behavior.

But it's not easy to convince Architect to use autocad objects, beautiful photo in the title block = I know my stuff.

Sooooo true Patchy!!!  Our users wanted a 'pretty' logo in the title block, but then when the issues came they quickly complained.  So I created the logo with 'autocad objects', looks exactly the same.  Took some time, but it was worth it to remove the headaches.

Hi,

Sorry didnt mean to cause a big stink lol

What I would like to do is have our logo in the title block then create a block so that I can use the "title block" for every project. Is there a way to convert the image to AutoCad lines. For example the old title block I am trying to revise has the old logo in it but it is a line drawing not the actual jpeg image.

I hope this makes sense????

thank you to everyone for the help.

Follow the instruction here, then save it as a template drawing, use it to start every new drawing.

http://www.cad-notes.com/how-to-embed-image-to-autocad-drawing/

or

Open .jpg with Paint program, CTRL+A, then CTRL+C

go to Autocad drawing, Edit, Paste Special, Picture (Metafile) then hit OK

Hello Patchy,

Where can I find the "edit"? What tab to I go to? I was able to "Ctrl A" & "Ctrl c" I am just not understanding what to do once I get back into paper space as that is where I am creating my title block.

Thanks:)
