Importing from CADWork into AutoCAD

After importing a dwg file saved at 1/4" scale (from CADWork into AutoCAD), I have not been able to figure out how to adjust the settings to allow for further revisions. As an interior designer, I need to be able to add furniture layouts, as well as, add appliances and cabinetry throughout a dwg file that I receive from an architect/designer. Please advise.

What kind of adjustments do you need to make to be able to make revisions?  Can you please provide a little more detail in that area, any screenshots of specific items could be helpful as well.

The drawing seems to be made up of normal Autocad linework. You get a warning when first opening the file that it was created using a Student version of AutoCAD, but I'm not seeing any functionality I wouldnt expect to see in a drawing.

what do you mean by " settings " ?

Sure. So, specifically, the dwg imported, however, when I begin drawing out appliances, etc. 36" is much much smaller than it should be with respect to porportion. For example, a 36" wide refrigerator in plan is tiny. The dwg file has much larger measurements. Is there a way to adjust this?

your drawing looks like it might be scaled up by a factor of 25.4  metric to imperial conversion.

Almost as though it was drawn in mm, but when brought in the units are being used as inches.

you need to SCALE your drawing . try to scale with Reference to adjust your CAD objects . >> Click << also you may need to check your INSUNITS .

It was using decimal, go to units and change it to ft & in.
