Imaginary Line

I must have somehow changed a setting.  During the DIST command, I used to be able to see an imaginary line from my first point as I move my cursor.  Now I can't see it.  Any ideas???

Check to see if DRAGMODE = Auto

Thank you for your help.  Setting dragmode = auto resolved my problem.
