The Autodesk Community Forums has a new look. Read more about what's changed on the Community Announcements board.
Hi,
this question was asked here many times, I have no idea why Autodesk does not build in an Autodesk idea station.
Some guys here use >>>AUGI<<< to place comments and wishes, others point to the >>>products feedback<<<, but that's all not the same ;(

Too busy for improving core functionality?
Probably not the way anyone who supports and uses AutoCAD on a daily bases wants this to read, right ?
However, hope was given from the twitter desk.

.. yet..
.
Hi,
yes ... you're right. i'm looking forward to hear when AutoCAD will add to the menu.!!!

What kind of membership are we talking about here? You describe it as some sort of chosen-few members decide upon. What makes that!? Why not just vote the same way as all other IDEAS work.
May i remind that most of us ( the companies we work for) pay subscription nowadays. AutoCAD is included, so why is it different?
I don't understand the concept. I can say is seems not to be part of the 'one model' approach..
.
It's got 10 'wishes' to vote for.... a year!
that is probably more than 1 for every update
so Autodesk User group is not part of Autodesk you say..
I do sense there is some kind of relationship with AU .
Besides, is anybody allowed to use the name Autodesk freely?
I bet: No
Autodesk .. in every centence
but ok this 'independent organisation' handles the feedback, ideas and makes requests into wishes, ... And makes some money.
All clear to me sofar.
.. but why are Revit and Inventor both at Augi ánd here as IDEAS and can this be with (some) AutoCAD (verticals) ?
Some more explanation please
Philp S did not mention anything about the role of Augi.
Nor does your site say anything but 'submit ANY idea'
This is strange. ONly leads to crtizism for what Autodesks plans are in development / investment in AutoCAD....

(Maybe somebody involved reads this.. You never know..)
It is what it is... you can get worked up over it, but that's not going to make a difference.
FYI the earlier post about "... it's not be made yet..." isn't the same thing as "... it's being worked on...". It shouldn't be read as anything other than it doesn't exist. There is *zero* implication about the future of AutoCAD in the presence, or lack thereof, of an Idea Station for any given product (Eagle being a good example).
Aside from the traditional role of the AUGI wishlist, the AutoCAD dev team may simply prefer to use other feedback mechanisms such as the BETA tester group. I can see some point to that, as doing so can significantly reduce the amount of noise vs. signal.
I may have missed a great part of history of the existence of Augi but i don't think they a very active in Europe (yet).
I think my point, or signal if you like, is loud and clear. Autodesk, this site, suggest that this place is to give ideas and feedback back for development.
If not, it clearly looses its value, at least for me.
I work at a big firm. Inforation passed on to me (rom IT edirected from Autodesk?) let me to here but the suppose this was incorrect to begin with
To inform Phillip about the status of AutoCAD, IDEAS and Augi is a good IDEA.
I agree with everyone. It isn't smart on Autodesk's part. They should include Autodesk in AutoCAD.
I did sign up to see 'The List'. Feels like signing up to a Spambot and the list contains wishes which apply to old autocad versions back to 2010. In the meantime i will look other places for ideas and development for dwg. Maybe Autodesk can look further too.

While you may feel that way,, the AutoCAD development team takes it seriously and numerous wishes are granted. Also, the Idea lists here contain old wishes too. What's the problem with that? You can still vote on them.
