Icon editing problem in AutoCAD 2019

Icon editing is malfunctioning.  Pixels filled fall on grid lines and pixels filled are three squares below and one square to the right of cursor location.  Is this a system pointer problem?  Cursor placement accuracy is not an issue while drawing.  This is in AutoCAD 2019 and updated a few days ago with latest release.

Hard to tell without seeing this... are you able to post a sample file or screenshot?

Hopefully this will demonstrate the problem.  When making a dot on the edit screen the dot does not appear right under the stylus and does not appear in the square.  The squares do not fill.

Weird, you posted a screenshot with all that visible

Did you mean something else?

or d you just need to turn off hardware acceleration in GRAPHICSCONFIG command to help your video card keep up with AutoCAD2019?

TIA

Have you tried updating your graphics card driver, restarted, or reset to defaults to see if it works as expected? You might try uninstalling the update and reinstalling it.

Are you using ACAD Vanilla or a vertical?

I'm having the same issue with 2019, it works fine in 2017 all on the same computer. Plain AutoCad

Perhaps we've discovered a bug.  Maybe they'll name it after us.

The black squares are supposed to fill the spaces, not overlap the lines.  I couldn't get the "stylus" to appear in the screen shot but the black dot appeared two or three spaces below and one space to the right of the point of the stylus.  The square that the stylus is hovered over is supposed to fill, not one two or three squares below.  This is a new installation of AutoCAD 2019 with the latest releases and, as I said, there are no cursor placement accuracy issues while drawing, just while in the button editor.  This is not an acceleration issue as it is a static situation.  I have been making custom icons for about the past 20 years and I know this isn't working correctly.  I did try your suggestion of turning off the hardware acceleration and it made no difference.  Thanks for giving it some thought.

Here is a screen shot showing where the stylus was and where the dot appeared.

You nailed it.  I used print screen and the stylus icon did not appear.  How did you get it to work?

I used the free version of

https://www.screenpresso.com/

Make sure "Capture mouse cursor" is checked in settings

I'm having the same issue. I don't have a solution but I isolated the problem. I re-installed AutoCAD 2019 and the icon editor was fine. When I installed the updates up to the current one, it's misaligned again. Something in the update is glitching it, but without the update I have my wipeouts in my blocks come to the front when I insert them into the drawing.

Hopefully Autodesk will release another update that fixes this icon editing issue.

Ok, yeah - the actual name is "Button Editor". Which edits the icons used in toolbars. That's what we mean.

On my side, no problems (I guess you are using a 4k Monitor resolution with DPI-Scaling /= 100% ?)

Not 4K, but 2560 x 1440. I do run the Win10 recommended 125% scale.

I applied a custom scale of 100% and that did fix the misalignment issue. So I've got a workaround now for when I want to create/tweak an icon - thanks!

It would be nice though if it worked without having to go back and forth with the custom scaling. Prior to the updates, it did.

@Anonymous I can't duplicate the issue with ACA 2019.0.2 (built on ACAD 2019.1.2) at 125% screen resolution. The edits match the squares.

If you didn't know, you can change the screen resolution with the Windows key and the + and - keys without having to go through the control panel.

My screen resolution is 2560 x 1440 and the scale is 100%.  Hopefully, Autodesk can address the issue so that we don't have to change the resolution to get the button editor to work properly.  Normally I use several custom buttons but with this installation I haven't done so because it was so frustrating to try and use the editor.

Yep! Getting the same issues. Very annoying. Even the eraser doesn't work properly. Given up trying to create my own customised button. Don't expect to lose functionality as AutoCAD upgrades do you? Aaaaaargh!!

Use an external graphics program to create your 32x32 bitmap of JPEG icon file, no need to keep torturing yourself with the built-in etch-a-sketch tool.
