i can't join my lines.

Hello, I'm facing a problem joining the lines in Autocad. I'm typing Pedit in the command bar, I'm choosing a 

polyline, then join. I'm selecting the whole design and it says there are 64 objects found, but when i press enter

they are not joined...

Command _TRIM (>>>details<<<) would be the fast option, but would result in none tangential transition.

New construction of the arc would be the better choice.

I'd draw a circle that goes through centers of the teeth. Redraw one tooth in place and then array with path option around that circle to put the rest of the teeth in. You'll need to know how far to set as offset in array command so measure the distance between two teethes centers to later set as the offset.

I agree you should redraw one "tooth" [if that's what they are -- not really the shape of real gear teeth] and "clean up" the meetings of its Arc and Line parts [re-draw the LINEs from the inboard end to be TANgent to the Arc, TRIM/EXTEND as appropriate, etc.].  But there's no need to draw a Circle as a path [which you would then need to delete afterwards].  Just ARRAY the tooth with the POlar option, give the base point in the middle of it all, and use the number-of-Items option [12 in this case] to fill the [default 360-degree] total angle, or  the Angle-between option [30 degrees in this case].

Doh! I very rarely use polar for anything in my work. Probably years since I use it last time. I forgot you are picking the center point with it and angle. Using array that way does save steps and is easier.
