How to write in model space in meters and in paper space in milimiters

I know this is a common question, i searched it all but i couldn't solve my problem.

I will start from zero!

So i create a acadiso.dwg file, and draw a 1 unit line in model space.
I go to paper space and open a Full Bleed A1 Paper on Page Setup.
I set my viewport to 1:1.

The result is:
Model space: 1 unit line.
Paper space: 1mm line.

The problem:
I want the 1 unit line to correspond to 1meter in 1:1 scale.
That way i would draw a 1 unit line on model space and set 1:100 scale so it would fit in the paper.

Basicaly right know i changed my scale manualy to 1000:1 so i get the effect i want.
I want to know if this is the only way and if this would cause problems with dimensions and etc.

Perfect thought!

Yes, the default scale-definition doesn't fit for meters->millimeter

You have to create your own scale, this "1:1" is just a name, it could also be named as "vanilla" or "Powerboat".

Use meaningful names, like 1:1meter

Edit the default list of acad here:

https://help.autodesk.com/view/ACD/2020/ENU/?guid=GUID-9C679D8F-DAE1-401E-AF6A-FF2D9C6963D8

And the scalelist in a dwg by command scalelistedit.

But if you edited the default list first, it is easy to use the RESET option from ScaleListEdit command in your templates *.dwt and any *.dwg you like.

One hint more: Please never edit default scale setting, delete the scales, rename and edit the scales, but never change just the definition).

And keep the original "1:1"

Thank you for the reply.

As of right now, when i try to edit the default scale list on the Options>User Preferences>Default Scale List.. Dialog, the changes i make there won't persist.
I googled it and it says i either should change the windows registry or keep a template file and copy paste it.

What do you think?

I think you are working on an obsolete productversion (2020), current is 2020.1 and this bug is fixed with this update.
