How to show Co-ordinates in "mm" and "Feet &Inch" together in Auto CAD

Hi Everyone,

I want to show Co-ordinates in "mm" and "Feet &Inch" together, I'm using AutoCAD 2015 version. I have tried in web to find out but nothing fulfill my requirements,

For Ex. how I want to show coordinates.

Once I clicked on workspace then I want below as a text.

 N 000mm (0' 0")

 W 000mm (0' 0")

I tried ID command but only one unit shows either mm or ft. in.

Dim Ordinates command gives both units like mm & ft.in. but at a time either North or west value I want both north and west values in one click.

Kindly give your solution as I need to place lots coordinates in my many drawings.

Thanks

This would require an autolisp to label both metric and imperial, this group can help you do just that.

Try this block out.

You can make the circle as small as you want and the text as big as you want. BUT you must keep them exactly where they are.

Hi hwalker,

Thanks a lot for your reply.

I checked your drawing, I found useful but there is a problem

I have drawings - units in mm drawn ft.in.

so when I use your block (coord test - attdef) values coming in mm are correct and ft.in are incorrect,

for feet inch value it has to scale factor of 0.0397 (i.e. 1/25.4 which mm to inch conv.) I tried to apply conversion factor in attdef of the same but I could not apply.

Note: In Dimension settings same scale factor (conversion factor) [primany units=mm, Alternate units=Architectural with scale factor of 0.0397] I can put and If I use dimordinates command it will come properly both mm and ft.in

hope you got my query.

Thanks again

I've attached the drawing again. The block you want to try now is called New Northing and Easting
