How to show blocks while insertion

I use INSERT command but until i don't select an insertion point i don't dynamically see the block, so i don't know how to orient it

Hi @Karol-Or,

 

The normal INSERT command will not show a preview  in the dialog such as Design Center does.

However, it should show you a preview when asking for an insertion point. Is it not doing this for you?

Do you have DRAGMODE turned off [the System Variable set to 0]?  Set it to Auto [System Variable 2].

There is no preview during insertion even with DRAGMODE on.

Now i see that if i uncheck the Explode option in the INSERT dialog it is shown. this is on Acad 2006, i didn't check it yet on 2013

Hi,

 

that is true.. when Explode is ticked you will insert non block items,for this you will not see any block preview.

When your block is exist ; select it then right click then go to addselect command.
