how to rotate objects/lines to the 0 angle (like the x axis) ? how to lock vertex in place (and not the whole line) ?

i tried to google both and i just cant find the answer.

i did saw on the internet a w/n/e/s direction command with rotate but that didnt work (guessing its not for autocad?)

Your best shot is to use "ROTATE > Reference" and select the two points that you want to align, then turn "ORTHO" ON.

Apart from locking the LAYERS, AutoCAD does not allow you to lock a vertex only. There seems to be other Autodesk software that may allow this - like MAYA.
