How do I remove the light purple box that sometimes appears in paper space of drawings? Once it is in a drawing, it doesn't go away, even after reopening the drawing. The only way I've dealt with it in the past was to copy all the contents of model space and all the paper space tabs into a new drawing, which is tedious and can potentially cause unintended drafting errors.
This has been a bug I've seen occasionally for many versions of AutoCAD. I'm not sure what causes it or how to get rid of it. If anyone has encountered this before and has any tips for avoiding it and/or removing it, short of copying and pasting everything into a new drawing, let me know.
It isn't selectable and it doesn't print, can't be purged with the PURGE command, and isn't fixed using the AUDIT command.

Ha ha, I never would have guessed that was a grid! I really wished I'd asked this much sooner. I never use the grid or the Function keys (ORTHO and OSNAP are programmed to my side mouse buttons), but maybe I accidentally hit it when pressing the "7" or "8" key.
Thank you for your response!
