Currently i have developed a dxf on AC1027 format and file size is around 25MB but when i save it into R12 format, the file size is drastically increased to 160MB

Can anyone help me to sort out this issue ?

Thanks in Advance

What is "AC1027"?

R12DXF is an old format with no compression, file sizes are always bigger. But DXF files are just plain text files, so you can ZIP them down to almost nothing if you need to email them.

AC1027 is also a dxf file format which is created in the below versions

DWG 2013AC1027Auto-cad 2013, Auto-CAD 2014, Auto CAD 2015, Auto CAD 2016, Auto-CAD 2017

is there any other way to decrease the file size by removing the unwanted layers or block in dxf (like *U1 layers) ?

Cheers

Unwanted.. this word comes often from people who not knowing what the things are.

Why there is a big gap between both

File versions:

Because you are using objects types and properties who are valid in newer formats, but not in R12.

Acad have to convert all data to match the r12 format.

Some object will convert to other objects/structures.

Pretty simple: Upload both sample files,

then we can say what your options are.
