how to reassociate an array path to a new path?

Hi all,

Sometimes array path objects lose association with the path object (e.g. a line) and I don't know how to reassociate them to a new path.

This problem is bugging me for a while now and not always I catch the message that inform me that the array has lost association to its path, so I can undo the offending action that caused it.

Is there a way to reassociate an array path to a new array?

The only way for that is to recreate a new one .

This would be great feature idea for AutoDesk to implement in future revisions. Arrays can be used as templates and being able to pick up a template and move it to another location with different alignment is a major speed improvement for productivity

You'll need to ask for it yourself, and convince a few 1000 to join in: simply posting around here goes no where.

Here is the link for your use:

Best wishes.
