How to modify an image already set as a Background

After select an image and set it as a background for a New View everything is ok, the problem begin when I try to move or scale the image to fit as I want. When I return to the view manager an select the Edit option next to Background override, the image disaper and I have to star all over again, this problem occurs since AutoCAD 2016. Any system variable to retain the image as background so I can edit it easily as older version of AutoCAD

Hi,

>> the problem begin when I try to move or scale the image

if you set the image as background (which is in general only used for rendering) then you can't select and scale it.

Are you doing rendering jobs and therefor you do have background images? If so, what do you then mean by "move or scale the image" ... where are you doing that?

Or have you inserted the image using _IMAGE ... then this should be independent from view-manager settings.

Guess I misunderstand something. Can you

  • create a short video showing this behavior (using free Autodesk Screencast >>>click<<<)
  • upload a sample drawing (and the image) showing that settings

Hi Alfred

Yes I am trying to do a Render but first I am setting a view using the View manager and putting into it an image as a background (image that shoud be modify using the Adjust Background Image dialog box).

As you know after a first  test (Render of the view) the background not always fits as you want, so we need to move and/or scale the image that was used as a background again, so you can go to the view manager again, select the view and use background override propertie to modify the background, then select the edit option to do changes but the background dialog box appears empty and you have to re-select the image and repeat the process all over again.

Until AutoCAD 2015 you could do several test quickly than now, because after pick the edit option, the background dialog box appears but it was showing the image with the changes already made, so you can continue the modifications since you left

Well that´s my method, and I´ve been doing it for years until AutoCAD 2015 because since 2016 it changes

I hope you could understod me and give me an idea, I think there might be a sistem variable that was changed without and advice
