how to make these page numbers align with each other vertically?

I am creating an index using field command. I can't make them aligned just by hitting space key.

Try TEXTALIGN

If you set the options, TEXTALIGN will also clean up vertical spacing.

For sheet index and other numbered/keyed lists, I generally use tables. I set the cell alignments for the number/key column to Top Center and for the description column to Top Left. Using the "Top" alignments look good when the description wraps to multiple lines.

Hi @Anonymous,

I believe that the kerning is determined by the font you select in creating your Text Style. If you want them to align you need to select a font with fixed character size such as MonoSPac821 BT.

I think this will improve the alignment for your index.
