Please refer to the drawing below.

How can i draw the broken sectional view (in front view)?

Do I just need to use the line or polyline? or is there any other correct way to do it.

Thanks

if this is a 2d dwg there's no way but to do it manually...good practice for you to draw more using various techniques you've learned

In 2D you'll have to create it manually, you can trace down the relevant lines with a poline from the top view above. But the cutaway is completely up to you.

In 3D things work a bit differently, You can generate a top view and a cut view with the create view functions in the layout tab. (this is an example of an offset section view from the base view)

LWEIGHT command, look up usage in AutoCAD's HELP.

line weight will make the whole line thick but I want only the ends of the line to be thick, not the whole line(As the section line only has its ends thick)

Separate lines for separate LWEIGHT settings is the only way to do what you want in AutoCAD, unless you want to use PLINE command, which allows not only for segments with separate widths, each segment is at least tied to the other so they don't accidentally move separately.

Like this one PLINE with three widths per segment
