How to make a custom linetype show on a different autocad software?

I have created a custom linetype on autocad 2015 to resemble insulation on an architectural drawing. when my college wishes to view the file on their computer the linetype does not show in the correct format.

if you know the solution please may you explain in very simple terms as i am not very good with technology!

Thanks in advance

If you can share both a screen shot of what you see and what your college (or do you mean collegue) sees.

We can answer your question more quickly.

My first guess is a difference between scaling (LTSCALE/MSLTSCALE/PSLTSCALE) or Polyline generation (PLINEGEN)

the scaling is both set to 1000 and all other standard linetypes show fine. is it a case of loading the linetype onto their autocad somehow?

Can you share a DWG with only this line type in it. So we can see how it reacts in our AutoCAD versions.

Do you both use the same AutoCAD version (2015)?

Can you also share the linetype syntax? (from the ACAD.lin or ACADiso.lin)
