The end points do not meet, this often happens when you import from a PDF or drawing from another software.

The easiest way is to select one of the lines and the grips will show up as a blue square on the endpoint, click on the grip then click on the endpoint of the other line. This will snap the endpoint of the line onto the endpoint of the other line and then you will be able to join it.

If you have a lot of such gaps and don't want to correct each one by one you cn also try >>this way<<:

- draw a line or arc to get a "closed" area

- start the hatch command, set an appropriate tolerance and activate "Retain boundary".

- if done you can delete the hatch, a closed polyline will remain.

- check the result

- remove the first drawn additional line/arc ... there are some ways to do it.

Be aware, sometimes you will not achive the needed result, therefore check carefully what you got.
