@syedsajjad_147 ,

Unfortunately, you cannot increase the maximum number of layout tabs.

If possible, consider reorganizing or combining layouts - to avoid reaching the 255 max layouts.

Keeping layouts to a minimum would help your performance.

Another option is to create a copy of the file with the remaining layouts only.

Best practice is to follow this suggestion:

Hi,

in the past, there was no limit (and the dwg file format doesn't have a limit), but since version ????

Adesk added this limitation.

There wasn't an limit, but more than ~256 Layouts were not full supported.

Instead to fix the issues (for example to select the Layout280 by GUI),

they added this limitation - so you can't create more layouts.

Good way:

Don't use more than 255 Layouts

Workaround, rarely practical:

You can use an existing DWG with more than 255 Layouts!

But think about, it isn't fully supported today.

The limitation to select each layouts by GUI gone (it's possible now),

but for example PUBLISH for example is limited to 256 plans - and I don't know what issues too.

If you have a need for that many layouts, working with the sheet set manager might be a better long term solution.

The wonderful Sam Lucido did an A-to-Z presentation about the sheet set manager at Autodesk University.
