How to fill/hatch 3D objects?

Hey all,

Have built a 3D model of a covered timber bridge (Geiger's Covered Bridge in Lehigh County, PA).

I'm not sure how to fill/hatch these objects. I do know I want the fill to make the 3D wireframe actually solid (so I'm not able to see through a timber beam for instance).

How do I do this? How do I assign color?

Is there also a way to create a light source in the model? Or give the bridge the appearance of being affected by light?

Thanks!

Hello @Anonymous,

You can type or use the tool palette for the "SOLIDEDIT" commands to color faces or apply material to faces.
