How to do a cutout

It's been a while since I've been on here and I can't seem to remember how to do a cut. I have a circle with 2" walls, I want to cut out a section of the wall so it has a cut out of about 6" x 3". can someone assisting me in getting this done? Thank you

Illustrate, please.  Is this about 3 dimensions -- walls with 2" thickness and some height [i.e. "thickness" in AutoCAD's meaning -- into the Z dimension]?  Is it a 3D Solid from EXTRUDE or REVOLVE or SWEEP or PRESSPULL or something?  Or an actual "wall" object in the Architectural overlay program?  [I can't picture a 6" x 3" cut-out in a 2" whatever-it-is if you're talking about, for example, just a 2D Polyline with width such as DONUT makes.]

Here's a quick image  of what I'm wanting to cut out. Thanks for your reply.

Use the Box command and draw your 3x6 rectangle and give it a height greater than the 2 inch wall … like a really big number such as 300. Then rotate this 3dSolid up so now the 3x6 dimension is in front view. Now move this horizontal 300 inch long shape perpendicular to the location of the 2inch wall at the height desired making sure the  3dSolid crosses over the 2inch wall. Then use the Subtract command selecting the wall as the object and then the 3x6 x 300 long 3dSolid to subtract from. You’ll end up with the opening you want on the 2inch wall.
