How to disable or turn off the coordinates when using LINE command ie. 1E + 44

Hi everyone,

I'm using Autocad 2016 and don't know how to disable or turn off the 'coordinate style' measurements in dynamic input.

For example, when you use the LINE command it asks to "Specify first point" and these cooridnates like 1E + 44 or 6E + 50 etc appear instead of

allowing me to simply type a measurment in millimeters!?

How do I change this back to normal input??

Please help! I've attached a screenshot to assist. disable.jpg

Set the DYNMODE System Variable to 0?

That's scientific notation, and the exponents indicate that you are very far from the drawing origin, which can be the cause of a variety of problems.  Can you do your work closer to the 0,0 area?

Even with DYNMODE on, turning SNAP on may also prevent the scientific-notation indications, locking things to conventionally-expressed coordinates, but not necessarily always [e.g. a diagonal Line will usually have a length that doesn't match an increment of the Snap value, and you may sometimes see scientific notation displayed].

Search the Forums for "scientific notation," and you'll find more discussions [some quite recent] of this kind of issue.
