How to Dimension Using Global Variables like Solidworks

I am more confident with Solidworks than AutoCAD, but I need to know if there is a way to define values for certain lines that I can change later and have my drawing automatically adjust. I tried to store values in the command line and then use them in the dimensioning command line but I could not get the software to print the stored value.

DIMSTYLE is where you set dimensioning parameters in AutoCAD: create more than one style if needed for different settings.

Do you mean dimensioning using parameters? I don't think you can with AutoCAD but Fusion 360 will do Parametric modeling with paramters.

Yeah, parameters and constraints are probably the closest.  Using the term 'dimensions' here is probably a bit distracting as it has a very specific meaning in AutoCAD.

Inventor would be the closest comparison to SolidWorks.
