How to dimension both length and angle of a line?

Hi,

My experience with AutoCAD is about less than an hour as of now. I'm following a tutorial from Autodesk. After showing us the basics of laying out dimensions, its asks to replicate this:

I can do all that but I can't figure out how to display both length and angle of a slanted line as they did (I highlighted them in yellow circles). aligned linear dimension  only gives me the length.

Hi,

>> I can't figure out how to display both length and angle of a slanted line as they did <<

i think that you're asking about Alternate units ( Not angle ) . select your dim line then Ctrl+1  and put and select proper values that meet your needs. ( see below image )

In this drawing example they tricked with fields. It's not yet a thema for beginners/newbies.

If you are interested in this, I will show you a screencast in some minutes how to do it.

[EDIT]

Here it is:

Oops:  In the screencast I forgot the ° symbol for the angle dimension. If You want to add this, edit the field, pick "Additional format" and add a Suffix  "°"  (without the "").

Thank you for taking the time to answer that and more. The regen command looks really useful.

Is the screencast a built-in feature in autoCAD or did you use another software?
