How to create alias for measurement distance

I like to set up distance measurement (from point to point, not automatic measurement) 

I had set up this in acad 2018 throughout ''measugeom'' and its work fine, but in acad 2022 under ''measuregeom'' measure automatic pick distance not ''point to point''.

Under "what new" in HELP you'll see MEASUREGEOM defaults have changed since the old 2018 was current, why not spend a few minutes in there and explore.

As noted by others, you've always wanted DIST command in 2018 any and now in 2022 (and in 2020, 2021, 2017, 2016, 2015 and so on back in time).
