Dear,

In our office for fabrication Duct now we are using database from server(Ex:F:/ACAD),but when we are going to site we could't access this server so we are coping this to USB and we are just just rename the drive name, then it will work.

Now i want to know that if we copy this database to C:/ it will work or not please advise.

or is there any comment to read this c drive to F drive please advice.

Hi @Anonymous,

Which application are you using? Is it possible within the application to remap to the database?

If not, when you plug in the USB drive, if you start Disk Mangement from the Windows Run field, you will see a lists of drives (including the USB). If you right-click on the USB, select Change Drive Letter and Paths... and select drive F:

HI @Anonymous,

I haven't seen another post from you on this issue.  After having re-read your post however, I wonder if you shouldn't go into your Disk Management utility and create a Virtual Drive.  This drive could have the same drive letter assigned to it as the server share and then you could put your database in it without issue.
