Hello Sir or Madam,
I made a drawing with dimensions by ACAD 2009 version based on Windows7.
These days I bought a new labtop which is running Windows10 and I installed the ACAD 2009 program on the new labtop.
And I tried to use the drawing which was made by Windows7 on the new labtop and the file was displaied normally but the dimensions in the drawing was not dispalied on the assigned locations.
How I can set any parameters to fit this problem?
Best regards,
SoAnn Youn
Hi,
if you open the same drawing on different workstations would not modify the dwg-content.
The only issue could be that it is an issue with your graphic card. That said ... using a 10 year old software on the current operating system is not the best idea and can be the source of this display issue.
AutoCAD 2009 is far away from being designed to run on Windows 10, even worse: with every update of Windows 10 you run into the risk that AutoCAD 2009 would not start or would crash. Please do not use that in a professional environment!
Back to the issue, please show us the dwg-file as well as 2 screenshots, one from your old software and a second screenshot how it looks like on Windows 10 ... we can then compare how it looks like on our systems.
You also might try to disable hardware acceleration, command _3DCONFIG ==> Manual tune, maybe this could be a help (at least for now).

Hi,
>> Please find enclosed images
Sorry, nothing here attached (please do not answer via mail when attaching files, use your Internet browser to add a reply to the forum thread)
Have you tried my suggestion to disable hardware acceleration?

Hi Mr. Alfred,
Please find enclosed images for a normal and wrong drawing.
You can see the wrong drawing and there are two issues at the moment.
Please let me know how I can fix the issues. Thanks
Sincerely yours,
SoAnn Youn
Hi,
thank you for your screenshots!
The lost text content could be a result of missing fonts. Please start command _STYLE to get the dialog for defining text styles. On the left side select each text style and on the right side look to the "Font Name" field. If you see a yellow warning symbol then the font is missing.
Depending if it's a TTF or a SHX font you need to install it (TTF) or copy it (SHX) to your new workstation.
>> I’d like to enlarge texts on the command window
Hope that this looks equal in your version 2009 ... start command _OPTIONS, tab "Display" and click onto button "Fonts" ... there you can select font and size for the text content in the command line window.
