Hidden Characters in Text File

Trying to import a .txt or .csv file and hidden characters are appearing in the preview that prevent me from importing the file in the correct format. I have opened the files in textpad, notepad++ and excel, turned on all characters, searched for them, deleted multiple top lines - nothing is working.

I have included a screen shot to show where they appear.

This is happening bc someone is breaking very large files into smaller ones, so I think those are some kind of page break I cant find to remove.

Anyone had this issue and successfully resolved it?

TIA! Dan

When you do a "SAVEAS" in Notepad, there's an "Encoding" dropdown. What is that set to and have you tried other options?

What if you Copy/Paste into a new Notepad file?  Or retype some of the lines in a new file?

If the issue persists, might be a software glitch. Are the files located on a network? Locally? Locally in a synced folder (Box, OneDrive, etc.).

Attached the file here and I can take a look.

Thanks for the quick reply.

I tried a copy/paste, excluding the top few lines in textpad to a new textpad document and it didnt work.

But then I tried it (while showing all characters) in notepad++ to a new notepad++ document and it DID work. lol, so strange.

I appreciate the help, friend.  Have a killer Wednesday.
